| A chorale prelude for organ in the style of Buxtehude -- but with blue-notes and syncopations! The cantus firmus is in the soprano, richly ornamented, and the three lower parts accompany it with imitative counterpoint based on motives from the chorale melody. (Grace-notes should be slightly "smeared," and syncopated rhythms should have a loose, playful quality.) |
